A monoline abuse and molestation policy keeps its limit separate from general liability and umbrella, so defense costs and indemnity are not competing with every other claim on the policy.
What does it cost?
A stand-alone abuse and molestation policy typically runs $3,000 to $5,000 a year, because the monoline market is surplus lines and carries minimum premiums, taxes and fees. A package that includes general liability, professional liability and the same limit frequently costs less than the stand-alone policy on its own, which is why we quote both rather than assuming.
