The person reading your contractused to work your job.

Boring Insurance Agency was founded by two industry outsiders — one out of television, one out of construction — who had both been on the customer’s side of a policy nobody would explain to them. That is still the whole idea: the person reading your contract has done the work the contract is about.

We are an independent commercial agency with offices in Los Angeles and Dallas, licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Independent means we are appointed with many carriers rather than selling one company’s product — so when we tell you a renewal is already priced correctly, we have checked it against the alternatives rather than defended the only option we had.

/ Where we are

We joined SmartChoice’s Leadership Agent Club in 2026, a little over two years after writing our first policy — one of the fastest-growing agencies in the network.

We mention it for one reason. Growth that fast, in commercial lines, only happens if the accounts stay: this is a business where the renewal is the whole economics, and an agency that wrote a lot and kept none would not be here. It is the closest thing to a public number for whether the service is any good.
