The standard production form excludes stunts by name. This is how the exclusion comes off.
Stunt and pyrotechnic cover is arranged by scheduling and underwriting the production that carries it — because the base entertainment form carries a printed stunt, pyrotechnic and animal exposure exclusion.
Tell us the situation.
A licensed human replies the same business day — not an auto-responder, and not five producers calling at once. We shop it across our carriers and tell you if the policy you already have is the right one.
We use this to quote and service your insurance, and we do not sell it or pass it to lead networks. Privacy policy.
What stunt and pyrotechnic businesses actually need.
Scheduled stunt work
Vehicle action, falls, fights and rigged gags, declared and underwritten in advance.
Without it — The printed exclusion applies and the whole sequence is uninsured.
Pyrotechnics
Effects work involving fire or explosives, subject to licensed operators and permits.
Without it — A fire effect that spreads is excluded twice over.

- Film & Entertainment
The standard production form excludes stunts and pyrotechnics by name — this is the one that has to be underwritten rather than assumed.
What stunt and pyrotechnic operators ask us.
Why can I not just buy a policy that includes stunts?
Because the underwriter needs to know what the stunt is before pricing it, and "stunts" covers everything from a scripted trip to a car roll. The exclusion exists so the carrier is asked. In practice that means telling us before the shoot, with the stunt description, who is coordinating it and what permits are in place — and it means an unscheduled stunt on the day is uninsured however small it seemed.
